My personal values statement is: I am a life long learner and hope to inspire my students to follow their passions and develop a growth mindset.
My current goals are: To work as a TTOC for May and June 2021 then move into a classroom role for the fall. I would love to be in a Kindergarten classroom.
My future goals are: To begin my Masters degree in Library Studies. I plan to begin this in the fall of 2022. Reading and finding hidden gems among books has always been a passion of mine. I believe I would make a great teacher-librarian. I plan on doing my masters part time over several years while also teaching. This will give me time to decide if I would like to stay a classroom teacher or if I want to move into a teacher-librarian role and try that for a year or so.
What I love about the teaching field is that it is not stagnant. Things are always changing and there is always room for growth and new discoveries. I am a life long learner and there will always be something new for me to learn about the education world.
